Transdisciplinary Design

Isabella Brandalise

Isabella is a designer interested in exploring the poetics and politics of everyday. She received a Bachelor in Graphic and Product Design from the University of Brasília in 2013, and she is currently a MFA candidate in Transdisciplinary Design at Parsons The New School for Design, as well as a MA candidate in Art and Technology at University of Brasília, Brazil.
She enjoys investigating urban narratives, emergent systems and collective cartographies, reflecting about the new meanings attributed to the city by its subjects. When working on a project, her efforts are to create an authentic dialogue between theoretical and practical perspectives, understanding design as a multidimensional way of thinking and making. Most of all, her main questions lie in the details and dynamics of the ambiguous in-between spaces, zones of infiltration and liberation.
