Alix Gerber is interested in using design to make public services more citizen-centered, and inventing rituals that stretch and define our beliefs and values. She has always been interested in the human and social side of design, beginning with understanding how our physical environments shape behavior and community in the Design & Environmental Analysis program at Cornell University. After graduating, she spent 2.5 years working as a researcher at IA Collaborative, a design consulting firm in Chicago, informing the design of user experiences (from digital interfaces to business strategy) with human insights.
