Carelab – Visiblize-ing Care Festival
Participate in the Visibilize-ing Care Festival The Visibilize-ing Care Festival, organized by the Parsons CareLab, will be a multimedia, multidisciplinary festival that will kick-off in Fall 2025. Students, faculty, alumni and staff are invited to showcase projects that creatively and critically explore all forms of care – between individuals, within communities, families and organizations, in cities, across the world, in relationship to our environment, and with ourselves. Parsons ELab’s longitudinal study “Closing The Gender Gap in Funding” Workshop
Friday Jan 17, the Parsons ELab’s hosted a longitudinal study workshop, “Closing The Gender Gap in Funding,” focused on identifying and addressing the systemic barriers female founders face. Female-identifying founders receive under 3% of all the funding available in the U.S. For Black, Brown, and Latina, it drops even lower. This flies in the face of all the data that shows investing in women creates better returns with less risk and lifts whole communities. How long is the Integrative Studio 1 engagement? Engagements are based on the classroom scenario and average one fifteen-week semester every Spring, from late January through mid May. The timeframe for customized engagements will be determined on a case-by-case basis. How many times do we have to meet with students? At a minimum, we require that you meet at the beginning of the semester to introduce the challenge (that you have pre-determined with our faculty), in the middle of the semester to review their initial work, and at the end of the semester for the final presentation.
