NYC Civic Service Design: Studio + Toolkit Launch

October 3, 2017

Please join the Mayor’s Office for Economic Opportunity, Citi Community Development and the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City for the launch of the nation’s first-ever Service Design Studio. This toolkit is dedicated to making public services for low-income New Yorkers as effective and accessible as possible.

Their goal is simple: to enable the City of New York to better meet the needs of its most vulnerable residents through service design methods – emphasizing a holistic approach, partnering the people who use services with the public servants and nonprofit providers who deliver them.

Join us to learn how the Service Design Studio at the Mayor’s Office for Economic Opportunity and NYC Civic Service Design Tools + Tactics will provide a central resource for expertise and best practices in service design to support public servants and help spread service design methods across NYC government. Details of the studio, new resources and how NYC is practicing service design will be shared.

When: Fri, Oct 6 (9-11am)
Where: 63 5 Ave (Tishman Auditorium – Room U100)
Cost: FREE for New School students, but you must register HERE to attend

Organized by the NYC Mayor’s Office for Economic Opportunity in collaboration with Parsons School of Design at The New School.
