COVID-19 has impacted all of us in unprecedented ways. It has illuminated complex relationships between various medical, social, and political responses to the pandemic.

At a time when public trust in information is low, competing—and often politically-biased—data continues to propagate from sources that seem to multiply on a daily basis. To ensure our public health officials, researchers, journalists, medical professionals, and policymakers are properly informed, a robust, verified body of knowledge is of monumental significance.

Panelists will discuss the tools and interdisciplinary strategies required to develop reliable access to data, including data collaboratives, transparency initiatives, new breakthroughs in data science and AI, and coordinated response groups to ensure data is actionable.
