The weeklong studio intensive was full of exciting events, course work and research. It was a chance for the online students of the MS-SDM program to visit the school and experience New York City. They also had the opportunity to use the making centre for a 5 day collaborative sprint where they used 3D Printing and laser cutting to prototype and experience innovation through physical making.
The first year students went on field trips and met with various stakeholders around their CityThink  Challenge, while the second year students pitched their project ideas to experts and mentors from across the NY Design, Strategy and Startup sectors.
On the last day of of the Intensive Week, the 1st year students presented their research and next steps of their strategy which they will follow for the remainder of the semester working remotely online. The teams also presented their 5 day sprint in a science fair style setup where the visitors had the chance to check out the prototypes and presentation developed by the students.
In addition to coursework, a wrap party was organised on the last afternoon, where online students met the on-campus students. The online students also met a few of their professors over food, drinks and good music!
