As part of our ongoing commitment to MS SDM’s extra-curricular program enrichment, we are delighted to announce our first External Partner Design Sprint for this Academic Year 2021/2022.

We will be hosting several Design Sprints this Fall and Spring semesters. These are opportunities to engage your strategic design skills and methods with companies and organizations wrestling with different real-world challenges from diverse sectors and industries.  These are also excellent platforms for networking and portfolio development.

On Monday, Nov 15, 2021 at 1-2pm EST, we will be kicking off our first Design Sprint with Aspen Institute’s Business and Society Program. If you are interested in participating please indicate this the survey sent to your email.

The deadline for submitting this survey is Monday November 8, 2021, 11:59 PM, ET. You will be notified by Nov 9 whether your team has been selected for the Sprint.  The selection is first come first serve basis and the Sprint is open to the students from both Year 1 & Year 2 of the MS SDM program.  You may sign up as a team or as solo.  As we finalize additional Design Sprints for the Spring semester, we will ensure that everyone who is interested gets to participate in at least 2 sprints this year.

During the meeting on the 15th Nov, we will discuss the External Design Sprint Framework. Before then you can learn more about the Sprints by listening to the short recording emailed to you and reading the attachment to that email.  The Zoom link for the Nov 15th Kick-off session and Zoom link for the Monday, Nov 22 at 1 – 4pm EST, synchronous meeting with the partner is also included in that email. Also during this meeting on the 15th Nov, we will discuss the External Design Sprint Framework.
