Service Design Global Conference is Next Week!

The Service Design Global Conference will happen next week (Oct 1, 2, 3) at different locations in our campus:

The program is quite interesting and speakers very diverse, covering service design applied to the public sector, health care, financial services and so many others.

 

How can students participate?
Please see below a summary of the different opportunities.

 

1.Student Day service design sprint
What: This is an independent workshop happening on Oct 1st (pre-conference day), led by Patty Beirne. The workshop is a service design sprint on the topic of “servicing financial futures”.
When: Oct 1st2:30-5:30pm
Where: Wollman Hall, 65 West 11th Street, 5th floor

Snacks will be served.
A happy hour with service design professionals will follow in the Lang Cafe & Courtyard at 6PM
Students: bring your business cards!

 

2. Student tickets – full attendance 
What: This is for full participation in the conference.
Where: several locations in campus
When: Oct 2nd and Oct 3rd (full day 9am-6pm)
Student ticket cost is $250

3. Live stream room showing the four Keynote Sessions
What: live stream of the four keynote sessions (live stream is not open to the general public, we have exclusive access)
Where: Transdisciplinary Design Studio (room 1203, 6E 16th Street)
When:
Oct 2nd: Morning keynote (9:00 – 11:00am), Afternoon keynote (4:20 – 6:20pm)
Oct 3rd: Morning keynote (9:00 – 11:15am), Afternoon keynote (4:00 – 6:00pm)
Limited spaces: first come, first served basis.

 

4. Volunteers
We have very few places left for students who want to be volunteers.
Volunteering means being available for the two full days (Oct 2nd and 3rd) and able to help with several tasks, and have the chance to see great part of the conference and interact with participants.
