Special Guest Lecturer Professor Doctor Wolfgang Leidhold on his upcoming book The Genealogy of Experience
Please join us in welcoming Professor Dr. Leidhold to The New School. Chair of Political Theory and History of Ideas at the University of Cologne, Prof. Dr. Leidhold has studied social sciences, philosophy, East Asian sciences and fine art. With over 40 years of teaching experience, he is widely published, a gifted painter and has received numerous awards.
His upcoming book, The Genealogy of Experience, explores the history of experience as it unfolds from the Paleolithic to present day, as well as its impact on the dynamics of culture and civilization. The main thesis, a paradigm shift, looks at the structure of human experience and how it changes over time. In this book, forthcoming April 2018, Leidhold develops an interdisciplinary theory of experience combining neurological, philosophical and historical aspects.
