Who are you and what do you do?
Bonnie So, strategic designer and social entrepreneur

What project/job/event/research are you currently working on? Please tell us a little about the impetus, content, expected impact of this work.
In continuation with my master project, Sonia and I have invited new team members to join the team. We are currently researching where will be the best place for our project to launch.

In what ways did the work/research you did at parsons prepare you for that transition and the work you’re doing now?
Parsons has prepared me for this transition in a sense that I am able to apply research, leadership, collaboration, project planning and management skills strategically. As all the team members are still located in different continent, we have to be smart and specific with our goal.

How has the MS-SDM program challenged you to grow as a strategic designer?
To apply strategy, we must familiar ourselves with the present and distance environment. So that, we can foresight possibilities and opportunities to design from.

If you were to give one piece of advice to current students, what would it be?

Being with a great bunch of highly motivated and enthusiast great minds is the best environment you can be in. Make the most of it.

What book are you reading right now?
Small is beautiful in the 21st century by Diana Schumacher
