Verizon Connected Futures II
In 2015-2016, NYC Media Lab partnered with Verizon Open Innovation to champion 14 R&D projects across five New York City campuses in disciplines ranging from design to engineering. These projects considered topics such as augmented and virtual reality, the connected home, the future of citizen journalism, and the future of human computer interaction beyond the smartphone.
For the second year of the program, NYC Media Lab presents Connected Futures II, a new prototyping and talent development program designed to validate concepts from NYC university labs and studios and build closer relationships between NYC universities with Verizon Open Innovation.
NYC university teams are invited to apply to participate in Connected Futures II. Accepted teams will be awarded up to $25,000 to develop their prototype in specific challenge areas and will receive feedback and mentorship from Verizon leaders along the way.
