“Top Five in New York” is a new section from the School of Design Strategies (SDS) community. It is a list of things to do and see in New York. This week’s list is by Koray Caliskan.

1. Swing to the tunes of Slavic Soul Party on Tuesdays at Barbès Brooklyn.

2. Take the train from Grand Central to Dia Beacon Museum, see Serras, then continue to Hudson to observe the manners and customs of former Brooklynites.

3. Explore Brooklyn Chinatown and have lunch at Yun Nan Flavour Garden (order #2).

4. Enjoy sunset at Westlights on top of William Vale (order Mezcal Negroni with Dry Vermouth).

5. Be a member of Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) and see all theater and modern dance shows.
