We are now building a Design team (in New York, Mumbai, and Bangalore) across the breadth of design competencies including Design Research & Strategy, Interaction Design, and Visual Design. The Design researcher is primarily responsible and deep in building empathy with our users and understanding their unmet needs. This includes driving the project in all aspects of user research starting from strategy and planning, discovery, primary and secondary research, deriving synthesis from the interviews with generating the insights and opportunities – All this while staying true to the voice of the users/stakeholders, and ensuring that is continuously reinforced and refined throughout the user research process. The design researcher works hand-in-glove with the interaction designer. While the design researcher works on the initial ‘Discovery’ (Research, Insights & Strategy) phase of a project, the interaction designer works on the ‘Design’ and ‘Implementation’ phases of the process. This role will also involve close working with their counterparts in the Data Science and Engineering teams, to ensure complete integration and alignment of work that is done by all the three workstreams in a project.
