Strategic design is an emerging field, and when I first learned about it, it was hard to figure out the path that would take me to where I wanted to be. It took a lot of trial and error to get here but looking back, I did manage to create a path for myself. I decided to write this article as a blueprint for other aspiring designers. This is an unfiltered view into what it really takes to make a career pivot — in my case to strategic design.
