Alumni Stories – Victor Salciotti
Who are you and what do you do?
I’m Victor Salciotti, Design Strategist and Interaction Designer.
Where are you originally from?
Brazil
I’m currently working as Director of Product Strategy at eSapiens, a Brazilian tech company that owns a portfolio of large scale digital products.
I lead the strategic approach, the definition / innovation, design and launch of compelling digital products that provide value to millions of users every day.
Starting with design research and guided by organizational goals and directives, I gather data, analyze scenarios and capture customer insights to identify gaps in our offerings and opportunities to create new businesses. Using design thinking methods, I synthesize knowledge into product ideas that benefit both our clients and the business. I consolidate, define and roadmap what it takes to bring ideas to life, partnering with technology, business analytics, business strategy and UX.
The MS in Strategic Design and Management program equipped me with practical tools and skills to promote sustainable innovation and design consistent business solutions through a human-centered approach. More than that, it gave me a solid basis to promote design intelligence as the core of any process in my organization, allowing me to both generate better outcomes and build my team’s capacity to go further.
List any awards, recognitions, etc. that you’ve received since leaving Parsons.
Wow, calm down. None so far. It’s been only 3 months 😛
Kind of a combination of answers 3 and 4. It inspired to go way beyond the work I used to do before. I’m not saying I was doing a superficial work, but the program added substance to my thinking, processes, strategies and interactions with my team.
