Transdisciplinary Design Thesis Expo on May 11th

Posted on May 2, 2016 | posted by: Jamer Hunt

The MFA in Transdisciplinary Design class of 2016 is graduating! Before we say goodbye to friends, family, and colleagues at Parsons, we will be showcasing our theses. We’d love to have you there for an evening of exploration of what design is, and what it could be, from the points of view of the 18 of us.

WHEN:
Wednesday, May 11th, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM

WHERE:
6 E 16th Street, 12th Floor

New York, NY 10003

This year we have tackled multiple themes like social narratives, new ecologies, community and cultural change, reenvisioning systems, and community conversation.

More than unifying all of our visions for these topics, our Thesis Expo is meant to be a space for lively discussion, imagination, and healthy questioning of our role as designers in this society. Expect to see a multitude of perspectives — that’s what Transdisciplinary Design is all about!

Join us on Wednesday May 11th, from 5pm to 8pm, for individualized thesis expositions, hosted in our studio space and meant to be explored at will. You are more than welcome to mingle with us while you check out the theses — in fact, refreshments will be provided.

Please register for free at this link. It’s helpful for us to track who will be there. Excited to see you!
