MSDUE Class of 2016–
Senior Project Manager, RiseBoro Community Partnership.

Drew is an artist and activist concerned citizen of humanity. Before joining Parsons, he was a theater designer/director and street performer/musician. He became interested in democratization and global solidarity movements through Occupy Wall Street. He was a member of the MSDUE cohort which graduated in 2016.

Drew is working in affordable housing development as Senior Project Manager at RiseBoro Community Partnership, a local non-profit. The organization does passive house buildings for low-income populations (senior citizens, vets, etc.) paired with social services. Drew is involved in housing advocacy and architecture projects in Bushwick, Brooklyn and throughout New York City, and in literally building homes for the city’s most vulnerable and trying to strategically steer the NYC construction industry towards more ecological and ethical practices. Drew fights homelessness and combats racism, greed, corruption and inefficacy in our system.

Drew writes: “I LOVED MY PARSONS EXPERIENCE. I met so many cool people from all over the world and became enmeshed in a vibrant network of urban practitioners and radical thinkers. I learned about NYC housing policy which led directly to my current job. I have also added more political/hyperlocal/participatory/democratizing themes and features into my theater work, which continues alongside my work in housing.”
