2018 SUNSET PARK RESEARCH REPORT
2018 SUNSET PARK RESEARCH REPORT
This project was developed by students from the MS in Design and Urban Ecologies, Parsons School of Design, in collaboration with Beyond Care, a worker cooperative committed to childcare services in Brooklyn. The aim of this project was to explore through research, planning and design ways to create new housing cooperative models for Beyond Care members in Sunset Park, a place they call home. In a context of rent increases and gentrification, Beyond Care members who have lived for over 20 years in this neighborhood have decided to stay. The outcome of this project has been published in two dossiers: Sunset Park Research Dossier and Sunset Park Design Proposals. This publication comprises the research.
