Forum for Real Community Planning in NYC
On April 29, 2018 urbanists, activists, and professionals joined together at the New School to participate in the Forum for Real Community Planning in NYC, hosted by Urban@Parsons programs and convened by the editors and writers of Zoned Out! Race, Displacement, and City Planning in New York City.
Actionable conversation took place among participants who spoke from their own experiences and commitments to genuine community-based planning for racial and economic justice. Additionally, the Forum allowed participants to define the challenges we are facing, understand the right to housing, and seek alternatives that center community planning and control.
