Urban @ The New School celebrates 100 years of the New School in New York and provides reflections on the past, present, and future of six academic programs that constitute Urban @ The New School. In bringing together students, faculty, staff, alumni and guests with interest in urban studies, urbanism, urban policy and planning, and urban design that jointly explore how urban academic learning can lead to social, ecological, economic, and political change and action. Julia Foulkes (Professor of History, BPATS, SPE) will open the event with a lecture on 100 Years of The New School in New York followed by a panel with representatives of all current urban academic graduate and undergraduate programs reflecting on the past, present, and future of their respective programs.
