This Thesis Book features the work of the 2021 cohort of the MS Design and Urban Ecologies and MA Theories of Urban Practice programs, who completed their thesis work during the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the last year, the 2021 MSDUE cohort explored new social arrangements, novel alignments, and emergent practices towards spatialized justice building relationships and partnerships with communities disproportionately affected by systemic injustices and the ongoing crisis. Their projects were designed to have a lasting impact on such communities. On the other hand, the 2021 MATUP cohort attempted to radically re-imagine the urban, both historically and theoretically, by engaging with urgent questions and by proposing new courses of urban action.
