Yandong was a sociology major (BA) and graduated from the MA Theories of Urban Practice program in 2018. He is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Washington’s Department of Cinema and Media.

Yandong writes: “I am interested in the intersections of film, new media and urban space. My MA thesis was about theoretical synergies between documentary film and urban space. It was an important practice to prepare myself for future work not only in film and media studies but more importantly in the world of academia.”
