Join “Shirt Stories” for their first upcycle fashion lab! When holiday season is all about overconsumption, why not embrace upcycling by giving new (and fashionable) life to unwanted shirts?

Their sewing, print, dying and bedazzling demos will show you how fun and easy it is to turn your old shirts into eye-catching designs.

By redesigning shirts that were given by Housing Works the goal of the pop up
lab is to give a new (and fashionable) life to unwanted shirts and encourage
up-cycling. Through hands-on fashion up-cycling workshops at the Fashion Lab we
will be making a difference in our effort to minimize textile waste.

There will be a Shirt Stories showcase, which will display up-cycled shirts
redesigned by Parsons faculty and students. Each shirt will be presented with a
story of its dramatic or gut-bursting past, revealing the relationship between the
shirt and its previous owner. Shirts will be sold for $5. All proceeds benefit Housing Works.

5:30PM – 7:30PM – Parsons, 2 West 13 Street at Fifth Ave. In the Lobby.

Donations are welcome.
