Cooks Studio

Description: 

A strategic design intervention, Cooks Studio is a system which enables Indian women cooks to provide “regional home food” primarily to young Indians in New York. The two-sided marketplace enables home cooks to establish a legal, commercial setup, and to spread awareness of Indian cooking through increased access to Indian home-cooked meals. We aim to provide a sense of comfort to the Indian diaspora of students while giving home cooks an outlet to express their culinary talent. Cooks Studio is considering the market for the new digital age, by producing both the product and the strategic relationships that will bring together supply and demand in novel ways.
