October 27th | The Drawing Lab will transform Aronson Gallery into a three-dimensional data mining and drawing apparatus. The installation accumulates works made by the public: free-hand drawing, photo and video, spatial diagramming and measurement, textual performance and language play…which are the cinemetric tools of the Drawing Lab.
Presented in collaboration with National Cheng Kung University in Tainan, Taiwan, this unique two-venue exhibition, installation, performance, film screening and workshop will take place at the International Design Alliance Congress in Taipei from October 24-26, and the Sheila C. Johnson Design Center at Parsons The New School for Design in New York from October 27-November 14, 2011.
The Drawing Lab team is faculty Alaiyo Bradshaw, Anthony Deen, Jose DeJesus, Jean Gardner, Victoria Marshall, Brian McGrath, as well as Hsueh Cheng-Luen. Teaching Assistants J. Parkman Carter, Molly Page, Elizabeth Parker and Mark Wilson.
