The New School’s Center for New York City Affairs, a project of the Milano School of International Affairs, Management and Urban Policy,  put on a competition called Prized Solutions: Reimagining NYC. This competition identified exemplary research and ideas from New School students that focused on issues impacting New York City. Each of the winners will present their work during a panel discussion to an audience of peers, policy makers, and supporters.

Extra congratulations to two of the winning teams! MFA Transdisciplinary Design students Lauren Atkins, Noa Bartfeld and Haijing Zhang proposed a project called Stories on Air that ties together satellite technology and grassroots environmental justice activism. MS Design and Urban Ecologies students Eduarda Aun, Zara Farooq and Lyric Kelkar proposed a solution to overcrowding of schools in Sunset Park through a program called Sunset Park Connect. Congrats to these students for their compelling and innovative work!
