Marc Stickdorn
Date: Wednesday, November 10, 2010
Time: 6:00 to 7:30pm
Location: Orientation Room (“Bark Room”) at 2 W 13th Street, NY
During this presentation Marc Stickdorn will introduce new methods and tools of service design thinking, such as the customer journey canvas and myServiceFellow — a prototype of a mobile ethnography application for smartphones. Furthermore, he will use the example of the design process of his upcoming book “This is Service Design Thinking” to illustrate the applicability and importance of this emerging approach far beyond mere services.

With a background in strategic management and marketing in the tourism industry, he strives to combine service business and design thinking. He developed the mobile ethnography application myServiceFellow and is about to publish together with the
communication designer Jakob Schneider the first textbook on service design thinking on December 1st. Besides lecturing at various universities, Marc is co-founder of Destinable, a service design consultancy for tourism.
